Wedding Shows

Bloomin' hard work these shows but the interest in these events for parties is fab.
Just getting out emails to the interested parties - suspect there will be quite a time delay as people are planning their weddings so far in the future.
I'm thinking of a poll for next month asking how long people plan their wedding in advance.  Someone at a wedding show recently told me that a few years ago people were planning more than 5 and some times 8 years in advance.  Amazing!!

Recruiting Targets

This may seem odd coming immediately after a post saying that our range package is now online!

I mean to act as bad guy - we're broadening our appeal and geography so I'm looking for people with the right background - you know who you are, to get in contact.
I have had great success with CP World and if that is news to you then check this link out as they are an excellent forum for wider based opportunities to me.
http://www.closeprotectionworld.co.uk/index.php?referrerid=30899
Check out our full site and come back to me with a CV (brief) but salient military / law enf. history and current PNC details if appropriate.

Ramping up the events

Great news everybody!
Well I think it is.  We're combining forces with Edelweiss Tactical to offer a full blown weekend adventure event in the Swiss Alps.
No - not skiing!  We're offering an adventure package and drills on a firing range about 40 mins from Basle.
Calling all you Call of Duty warriors, thrill seekers and an enthusiasts.
Have we got the event for you?
Short stuff such as Glock 19s and Sig 250s to
MP5s and Sig 556s - more exotic still?  AK47s and AKMs
Packages will be about £325 pp (no flights inc) but we do have a hotel for Saturday night and great venues for drinks in the evening around a stunning alpine resort.
Watch our pages for details on the package content

Great Institutions - the cafe!

Having been a surveillance officer for 20 years I have no problem in dispelling the perception of glamour that Hollywood and the entertainment industry has attached to the activity.
Yup, at times it was very exciting but mostly it is pretty dull with levity provided by your colleagues or newspapers etc.
There was one shining beacon though and that was the UK's cafe and sandwich / chuck wagon culture.  If you have an early start and we certainly did very regularly, it was only the ever present wagon or cafe that was able to turn out great grub in all sorts of locations.
We always said that we should compile a list of "Sambo" wagons and review them for similar nomads and never got around to it.  Now here is our chance and your chance to contribute - let us have your reviews and a photo would be fab of your favourite cafe or sandwich wagon - opening times would be good too.
If you've had a bad experience we want to know - we'll be providing our favourites over the next few weeks.  If we're out of date - let us know.
These wagons and cafes supported us for donkeys - it's our turn to repay the favour
PS if you're a wagon out there and want to give us a telephone number for advance orders - get it on!

Upstream drugs interdiction really works....

Or does it?
How odd that following the day that SOCA claim credit via their embedded reporter in Colombia for intercepting 45% of their annual cocaine production, Bob Ainsworth - former minister, now proposes the one thing no-one could ever do whilst in power - legalising all drugs.
Can't help feeling that claims of this nature are hugely inflated and don't tell the real story by a mile.  There is some indication though in Frank Gardner's article that the Colombia aspect is only a fraction of the real issue.  Neighbouring Peru, where SOCA removed their full time presence in 2006, is the 3rd largest and cheapest coke producer in the area - lucky then that we influence the grand total of 4% of Peru coke production and supply.
